Title: Sherriff/Shirreffs from Aberdeen to Houghton-le-Spring area

To any Sherriff/Shirreffs who have been researching this family name and
found they came from Aberdeen to Houghton-le-Spring area in the 1800/1900 or before, they may have been farmers or merchant's
I'm trying to trace some family members who moved over the border
for work etc.

any information would be welcome, thank you.
