what church would a family go to if they lived at 24 St. Joseph's Place, Dublin it's believed they were RC

there are several St. Joseph's place addresses listed in street listings..

off
  Arbour Hill
  Prussia St
  Upper Dorset St

not sure as to the churches - but I would think maybe the parish would be St. Paul's (Arran Quay) for the first two and St. Mary's (Marlborough St) for the Dorset St address

You could check for the nearest churches on the city maps (1848 to 1885) - see links in the Dublin resources section : http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/board,371.0.html

it might be Aughrim St Parish for Arbour Hill??

I think St. Joseph's Berkley Road would be for Dorset Street.
