Hi Wozzle,
How do you know this, have you this information in your tree? The only child apart from my Grandad Hartes George I had any information on was Elsie. I knew she married Charles Stone, but nothing else. So, a big thank you for the further information, it's very much appreciated.

Kind regards
Jeff

At http://www.1911census.co.uk/ they are indexed as "Jakson" in Brentford (I searched for Harold Kipling by first name)

At this time, all of the children except the eldest, Henry, appear to be still living with the family. "Frank P" is listed as "Frank Percy". "Hartes George" is indexed as "Horten George" (but that could obviously be a transcription error).

freebmd shows that Thomas K. Jackson died in 1913 in Brentford district aged 43 - this could be Thomas Kipling.
And a Alma Jackson died in the same area aged 76 in 1934.

Because of the common surname it's going to be quite hard to trace forward but perhaps some relative will find this post in time.

Thanks jorose,
I did know my GGrandad died young at age 43, he had brights disease, I know this to be Kidney failure or Kidney disease. I have even found the grave on Thomas and Alma, but sadly they have no headstone.
I did not know however that Frank was Frank Percy, that is very useful information.

Thanks also to Wozzle for the info on Charles Stone. Again very useful information

I am much in your debt. Thank you.
Kind regards
Jeff

Interested to hear of the genealogy of Thomas Kipling Jackson. My wife is a descendent of one of Alma Collins brothers, Frank (b. 1856). If you want further details of Alma's heritage I can perhaps help.

Hi Derek2386,
I have not got Frank (1856) in my tree, but would also be very interested to have Alma's heritage. I have a photo of the Bells in Hordle where Alma's father George was a farmer and Inn Keeper. The pub is now a private residence. According to my records, (and they need confirming) George and his wife Mary had Alma and Rhoda, both born 1864, Frederick W. born 1865, Lucy B, born 1868 and Clara J, born 1873.
Any other information you may have gratefully recieved.
Kind regards
Jeff

Hi Jeff
I have Alma born in 1858 but this needs confirming. Rhoda b. 1864; Mary b. 1855; Frank b. 1856; Julia b. 1860; Frederick W b. 1867; Lucy B b.1868 and Clara Jane b.1873. Frank married Mary Ann Hibbs in Christchurch in Mar 1883 from whom my wife is descended. Julia married Charles Coles in 1878 (don't know where) and had two daughters; Rhoda married Alexander Blackford in Hordle in Sept 1884 and had 9 children. The only other one I can trace in Clara who married John Joseph Carter in 1899. You may well already know that Alma's mother was Mary Ann HORDER. George Collins was one of 6 I believe but I have to check their parents details - not sure if George's dad was a Joseph or a William! I have attached a photo of George - the only one we have!
Hope this helps
Derek

Hi Derek,
Thank you so very much for the photo. I can't believe you have sent me a photo of my GGreat Grandad, that is FANTASTIC! I did not know Mary's maiden name, it has been a bit of a brick wall for a while now.
Here is a photo of the Bell in Silver Street Hordle that George ran. I knocked on the door some years back, and the owner invited me in, to have a look around. He showed me the kitchen area where George would have dragged barrels of beer across the stone hearth, and the semi-circular wear that the barrels created. I must admit it was a bit spooky being in the same place my GGreat Gandad had been. Please find attached a picture of the pub, as it is now. Somewhere I have a very, very old photo, but is probably archived on a disc, or the "old" machine somewhere. Also attached Thomas Kipling Jackson and Alma Collins wedding certificate.
Thanks again for the info, we must exchange more information possibly off line would be quicker.

Kind regards
Jeff

Hi Jeff
Rhoda married Alexander Blackford in Hordle in Sept 1884 and had 9 children.

Hi Guys, I hope you're still checking this board occasionally?
I'm descended from Rhoda Collins. She didn't marry Alexander Blackford, but Blachford - this is a common mistranscription.
I am not able to see the photos mentioned above, but if you can share them with me, I'd be really grateful.
Thanks a lot,
Owen
