1841 Census
Parish of Myddfai, Carmarthnshire, Address Dagfa
Lewis Charles, 63, Farmer
Rachel Charles, 29
Thomas Charles, 14
Margaret Jones, 12, Ind
Hannah Price, 8, Ind
Henry Jones, 3, Ind
All born in County. Note the "Ind" (Independent Means)
1851 Census
Parish of Devynnock, Hamlet of Cray, Address Posty
Absent, Head, Farmer of 40 acres
Thomas Charles, Son, Unm, 21, Farmer's Son, b. Carmarthenshire, Tingar (?)
Rachel Charles, Dau, Unm, 39, Farmer's Daughter, b. Carmarthenshire, Taliares
The age differential of Thomas and Rachel in each census is similar and born in Carmarthen. Myddfai is near St Clears. Still trying to deduce what Taliares and Tingar might be. Look quite clear on the Census return.

garfydd,
On google earth I was just west of Carmarthen Town when I searched for Myddfai. It took me to Myddfai, just west of St Clears.
It appears had I searched for the same on most any other spot on the map of the county I would have been taken to Myddfai, Llandovery!!.
Diolch a phob hwyl
