Hi
Would it be possible for someone to take a photo of a gravestone at Elmers End Cemetery please? The grave is that of my gg grandfather's sister, Isabella RUSSELL, who according to a memorial card, died 1 June 1912 age 74. I understand that she is buried in grave no 6251.
I would love to have a copy of any photo for my own records but also to send to her g grandson who now lives in Canada.
With many thanks

Hi Lizzie,
I have just telephoned the cemetery to get the plot position and sadly I have been told that there is no headstone as it is a common grave with twelve other people. Sounds just like my lot, sadly they probably didn't have any money.

And mine :( :( I wonder if that was the most common type of grave in London?

Hi
What a shame! Ah well, I'm not too surprised - not many wealthy folk in my family, now or then! :)
Anyway, I'm very grateful to you for trying.
Many, many thanks

If I get over that way soon, I`ll see what else "if anything" I can find out for you.
There is always a possibility that the data you have might just be slightly out, as in the grave No.
No promises.
