Hi, if anyone has access to any trade directory before 1840 would they very kindly look to see if there is any listing for a Samuel WINSTON(e) possibly in the Holborn area?
I have searched the Historical directories website but to no avail!
Any help or guidance would be very much appreciated.
Kind regards
Robert

Do you know what his occupation was?

Hi Charlotte, l don't know his occupation for certain but 2 of his sons went on to become carpenters, Samuel's burial record states his place of residence to be "Plough Court" l believe this is in the St Andrews area of Holborn?

If he were not a master carpenter then he probably didn't get in a Trade Directory. A guess on my part.

Hi
Between 1819 and 1829 Samuel's occupation is given as a mason on his children's baptisms at St Andrew's Holborn. Samuel's burial occurred at St Andrew's Holborn as did his wife's in 1840.
