Can anyone tell me  any baby orphanages in the dumfrieshire area from 1950/60 era, thank u.

Hi

I seem to remember the Wendy Home, I think it was called, in the Cresswell area of Dumfries when I was a kid in the 60`s.  I think it was an orphanage. Sorry I don`t have more details.

wendy house was a childrens home run by  the council  they ran several other homes as well springbells in annan and merkland house moffat   csc
