Title: HETHERSETT, Norfolk
Post by: dannibaggaley on Wednesday 18 November 09 08:49 GMT (UK)
Hi there

I just wanted to offer any help I can regarding anyone researching family in Hethersett. I have quite a bit of free time since having a baby and my son starting school, so if anyone wants any information, photos or graves looking at, I'll try to help

Hello Danielle, just read your message, have not been on roots for months.  My family lived for most of their life in Hethersertt.  Having trouble getting any further back than George Boon born 1795 at Wymondham and his wife Elizabeth Auger. George died on 26 Oct 1870 at Hethersett.  All of their children were born in Hethersett, I would love to get further back, but have had no luck in tracing parish records of anything.  Did contact a lady down that way once, but it was a different Boon family, apparently quite common down there.  Do you know if you are able to purchase disks or anything with parish records on, I am on so many web sites with my Norfolk names registered but not got anywhere.  Any suggestions you might have would be appreciated.
