Can anyone help find out further details on the following people and families
The info I have is from the Cambridgeshire Baptism Index 1801 - 1837
Eliza Robinson b 1833 d of Thomas & Elizabeth Tydd St Giles *
Lucy Robinson b 1831 d of Thomas & Elizabeth Tydd St Giles *
There is also an indicator * against the details which states " More than the normal information on the parish record.
Thanks Kath

Didn't Valda give you full details of the baptism entries 2 1/2 years ago at http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,230343.msg1225629.html#msg1225629 ?
Her reply gave you the full date, which the Baptism Index doesn't show, and the extra information would have been the father's occupation - labourer

Thanks David
You are correct and have a wonderful memory, Valda did give me further information but as she stated the family in the 1941 census could be a red herring and I have not been able to verify same. I would really like to be able to go back. ie who Thomas's parents were and Elizabeths parents. It has become very frustrating over the last 2 1/2 years. This is my fathers side of my family and I am unable to get any further back whilst on my mothers side I have been able to get back to the 1700's. Maybe I should go onto " who do you think you are"
Thanks again Kath.

Sometimes you need to go laterally.
Eliza in Holbeach in 1851 was described as "niece" implying that whoever was head of the family was a sibling of one or other of her parents. Pursuing this line might give you a clue as to where her parents were from.
Have you found any of the family that Valda found in 1841 in any subsequent census?
