Hi,
I am researching Edward Dunn birth varies on the census returns between 1806 - 1811, Cascob, Presteigne, Radnorshire. His birthplace is listed as Cascob on the 1851 census and wife Ann's as Singen instead of Lingen. Have been unable to find any index listing online for his birth or christening. Could anyone do a birth/christening look up for me please so I can order a certificate?
Thanks

It would seem that payment was made to the family of a John Powell in the Radnor Militia in subtitute for William Dunn of Cascob. Can be found on -
http//www.powys.gov.uk/uploads/media/R_QS_0B4_bi.pdf
file 601. 1804 April (immediately after Michaelmas Quarter Sessions 1803 no.1-85 and about 14 pages from the beginning))
Not what you asked for but it might help.

Hi, I am also looking for information on Edward Dunn abt 1806. I have tried that link given but I couldn't open it. Did you have any success?

Hello all
You are right, I couldn't access the web address so I entered part of it and got through but the second try failed.
The easiest way is to put 'William Dunn Cascob' as a search on google and it will come up as 'Radnorshire Quarter Sessions Order Book 1801-1813'.

Hi,
Thanks I already have William Dunn of Cascob Quarter Sessions information which although has had some jumping to conclusions, it in no way indicates him as father to Edward, if anything his father is most likely called Thomas. We have had several searches done at Radnorshire, Herefordshire and Shropshire Archives and I have the Parish Records, but still nothing definate!
I suspect his birth / christening record may be lost as there are pages missing from the Parish Records for the possible years of his birth but still trying to break down that brick wall!!

Hi there,
I noticed your post, and as I too have an interest in a birth in Knighton C1810, and I also think the parents of this child were married in Knighton, so I was interested when you said you had the Parish Records for Knighton, could I ask you please, "where or how could I obtain a copy of these Records"?
Regards,
Jim.
