There are three Public Member Trees on the Ancestry website which all include George HAM (b. 1770), but unfortunately none of them include any details of his parentage!
Checking the Oxfordshire Marriage Index (1538-1837), there are three HAM(M) marriages between 1750 and 1770 (inc.) - in 1754, 1756 and 1764. (One of these is the Richard/Hannah marriage mentioned in one of your other Rootschat postings.) Locating George's baptism entry in the Goring parish registers would confirm his parents' names (hopefully one of these couples!).
The marriage dates for George's potential parents seem a little early, but definitely not unfeasible. You may also like to check for any relevant HAM marriages on the N. Berkshire Marriage Index (this covers those parishes which were originally in Berkshire but were transferred to Oxfordshire in the 1970s, and look ups are available from the Oxfordshire Family History Society at www.ofhs.org.uk for a couple of pounds).
Goring is also on the boundary of the present-day county of Berkshire, so it may also be worth making enquiries in that county.
Hope this is of some help!
