Title: Farquhars in Lossiemouth-any help appreciated.
Post by: taffydog on Monday 09 November 09 04:18 GMT (UK)
I am looking for information on the children born to:
James Farquhar (born 1864, died Dec 1, 1959-aged 95 yrs) married to Margaret Sutherland (born 1869, died Sept. 5, 1934-aged 65 years). They lived in Lossiemouth and I believe are buried there. There may be a second marriage for James Farquhar possibly to a Jessie Sutherland.

I am new to research and any help that you could provide or direction would be greatly appreciated. I am writing from Ontario Canada. I believe some of the family may have come to Canada.

Hello there taffydog,

You can download copies of birth, marriage and death certificates from ScotlandsPeople (http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/)

James appeared to have married Margaret in Moray in 1890 and Jessie in 1936 (I did not download the certificates so this could be inaccurate!)

Good luck with your investigation!

There is an available death certificate for a female Farquhar - with mother's maiden surname Sutherland -  in Moray in 1994 aged 94.
