Hello HD,
Naughton is still a common name in the Galway area. You could try looking for Bridget's birth/christening, baptism here on the County Galway site:
http://www.irish-roots.ie/about-ifhf.asp
And you might find something here:
http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#c=1408347;p=collectionDetails;t=searchable
Or, or the FamilySearch main site here:

Good luck,

Hi HD,
Welcome to Rootschat.
Long story short - for some reason I thought I had a Bridget NORTON in my tree. Looks like I was wrong in this matter. My Norton's lived in the Goulburn area (same as yours) so I got a transcrition of Bridget's marriage to James Jeffreys. If you haven't already got it I would be happy to send you a copy.
If you could PM me your email address I can scan and send it to you.
Cheers,
Julie
Edit: Forgot to mention that the transcript of the cert spells Naughton as NORTON.

Bridget is also my five times great grandmother. I have limited information on her. Her mother was Bridget as well and died sometime around 1831. Bridget (teh daughter) had nine children and died in 1901 - pre-deceasing her husband by 30 years. I can give you other specific information as required if I have it
Cheers

Hi
Bridget Agnes NAUGHTON is my 2 times great grandmother too. Bridget's mother was Bridget Mahony and she died in Galway,Ireland.
Bridget had 2 sisters that also came out to N.S.W, they were Mary and Catherine. Mary married William Archer (convict) and Catherine married John Broderick.
They all had large families, so there are lots of relations.

Hi
Irish records are very hard to find. So I don,t think we would ever find were Bridget Mahony is buried.
There was a brother who also died in Galway (no name). Someone ask about the poor houses, I have never been able to find anything on them.
All the best :-\
