I believe that the parents of a George Gray who was baptised at Britford, Wiltshire on 12 December 1773 were an Isaac and Mary Gray. Can anyone find the marriage and baptisms for Isaac and Mary?

Hi!
Where did you get the information on Isaac and Mary from? (Not from "the usual sources" it would seem!)
I am looking for a George Gray born "in Wiltshire" at about this time. His first son was called Isaac, so this is a possibility.
I pop down to the LDS centre in London now & again, so could take a look if you could give me a few more details.

Hi Therese,
I'm not sure what you mean by "usual sources".
The information was obtained on a visit to Wiltshire Records Office (Britford baptisms).

Thanks!
I meant things like LDS's IGI, which people can look at without any effort. ;-)
I take it the marriage/christenings aren't in the Britford PRs, if you've already looked at them?
All the best,
Therese.

Hi Therese,
I have looked at them. However, they aren't easy to read - hence the lack of transcriptions.

No - it's a nightmare. The films at the LDS are sometimes unintelligible. :(
Do you know what happened to your George Gray? I suppose that might well rule him out.
Mine was living in Limpley Stoke, near Bath in the 1841 census.

He married Elizabeth Read at Britford on 8 November 1797 and was buried at Britford on 5 November 1827.

That answers my question then. ;-)
