I think you will need to contact the district registration office & they may then need to send you a form. As you seem to be in Australia, I would e-mail GRO for advice, as I'm sure they could point you in the right direction.

Hi Meg,

If the wedding was in 1819 I'm not sure that you can get a wedding cert. similar to the ones issued nowadays as the general registration of births/marriages/deaths started in 1837 (I thought.....maybe someone could clarify?). Did the church issue a certificate before then? It may be that you have to look at the actual parish registers of the particular church to find more details on the wedding.
 Regards
Emily

:) Hi Emily - That's what I thought -  the only details of the marriage I have are St Geo Bloomsbury - 1909 (but  it's more likely 1919 when the image is enlarged.)
It doesn't give details of the actual church where they were married.

Thnaks for your reply

Do you mean 1819 or 1919?  :-\
I had assumed that St Georges, Bloomsbury was the name of the church...there is a church called that which still exists.....I put it into google and several links came out. The Bloomsbury association has some pictures of it on their webpage http://www.camdennet.org.uk/groups/bloomsbury/photo-album/album?album_id=16807
The church also has a website http://www.stgeorgesbloomsbury.org.uk/. It has a contact us e-mail address on it...so maybe they might be able to tell you if their old parish records are available somewhere.

Best regards,
Emily

Hi Casalguidi,
Thankyou so much for posting these addresses for me.  8)
I checked out the London Corporation site - it looks as though I'll be able to apply to order the cert there - great site for searching for other documents also.
Thanks again to Alice and Emily also  :)

 :) Casalguidi,

I would like  to thank you again for the link:-
http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/Corporation/leisure_heritage/libraries_archives_museums_galleries/JAS/lma/lma.htm

I have just received in the post copies of two marriage certs (banns) from parish records, a baptism entry and a reference and location for another baptism,(registers not kept there).

I am absolutely thrilled!
