Request please for full Baptism record information on William HARRISON 07/03/1740, parents listed as John HARRISON 1719-1788 and Hannah ROBERTS 1725-1788, in particular records for siblings of William, including his half, brother William HARRISON 1752 - Stocking Farm, Leicester.
.
I am trying to see if one of these William's make my connection to my family line, as my G/G/G/G Grandfather William HARRISON married a Mary. All their children were baptised at All Saints Parish Church, Loughborough, However no records of marriage, many thanks, Regards Jason Harrison, New South Wales, Australia.

There is a baptism in St. Nicholas of a William Harrison baptised 17 March 1740/41, parents John and Hannah. Recording of all the church baptisms is being undertaken at the moment for later publication and someone will be checking to see if there are anymore of this family.
Will let you know when/if there are any more. This is just to let you know someone read your request and will help if we can!

Having searched St. Nicholas baptisms there are no more registrations for the parents John and Hannah Harrison. The only other Harrison's family registering children at Thomas and Mary until the end of 1700s.
Sorry, maybe the siblings were baptised at another city church.

Greeting’s…Again…………. Jason.
I’m afraid it will be very difficult to prove a connection between your families
Seeing the years are 1700’s ……..
Baptism Registers for this period were what would be known as
a “ Pocket Book” For the Minister and were aprox A5 size
and the information contained within them was very basic. ……..
E.G.:~
BAPTISMS ANNO DOMINI :~ 1740.
William. Son of John Harrison. And by his wife Hannah. …Bapt…….7th. March.
And that’s all the information recorded …..
So you can see it did not give any further information to begin to match up with your other Family.
It’s not until Parliament passed.. ” The Rose Act. 1813.”
Did the par printed parish registers have columns for the Address
& Fathers Occupation……..
Which could be used to try and match up to your other Family....

Cheers Mike, I appreciate your time. I have a request posted regarding a possible link with a William Born 1745, father Thomas of Loughborough. A member is going to check in the Loughborough library when it opens up again next week, I think 1745 is closer to mark seeing as though his first child was baptised 1770, and the distinct "Loughborough" connection as opposed to "leicester". Regards Jason
