I will have a look at the earlier census to see what can be found, but it would seem that to obtain early parish records for George Borrett/Barrett you will need to post a request on the Cambridge county board.
hope this helps for now

Hi
Here are the 1861 and 1851 census results the family is not on the 1841 for Hyde so would suggest you post a request on the Suffolk board for a lookup at Bilderston or Ely
1861 RG9-2557-F 163 Oldham Street Hyde
George Barrett head widower 65 shoe maker Cambridgeshire
Ann Barrett daug unwed 43 bootbinder Balderston
Thomas son 17 cotton piecer Ely Suffolk
Henry son 8 scholar Hyde
1851 HO107-2154-F593 Chappell Street Hyde
George Barrett head widower 55 shoemaker Cambridgeshire
Ann daug unwed 30 bootbinder suffolk
Thomas g/son 7 Ely Suffolk
As you can see the 1851 suggests that Thomas is the Grandson of George, the 1861 Say's son, I would suggest that both Thomas and Henry are the illegitimate children of George's daughter Ann as the 1881 would suggest.
good luck
