I wonder if anyone would be good enough to have a look at this very tatty photograph. I might be asking too much as it is in real old state and maybe beyond help.

Hi there

I think this is a very doable restore but it needs to be rescanned at 300dpi.
There is a tutorial at the top of this board if you need help.
