Title: William Bestford of Willington
Post by: whitbygeoff on Wednesday 28 October 09 09:46 GMT (UK)
William Bestford b 1847 at Pittington, Durham d1915 at Willington, Durham was widowed and remarried a Kasia Clark c1905. I think the name is Clark as the 1911 census shows a stepdaughter Eva Clark. Does anyone recognise Kasia?. She was born in Blockage, Staffs.

Hi Geoff,

I believe her birth place might be Bloxwich, rather.

A keziah Clarke, wife of Samuel, is shown on earlier censuses, living at Normanby in 1901 and 1891, and at Wilton in Guisborough in 1881:

RG11/4843 155 28

The one marriage I can find is:
Mar 1881 Middlesborough 9d 606
Samuel Clark to possibly Kezia Ball

I see a birth registration in Mar 1865 in Walsall district for a Kezia Ball but unfortunately I can't spot her in 1871  :(
