I am looking for information on a Joel Wickens who married a Dinah Barlow in 1805 in Tadley parish, Hampshire. At some point they moved to Canada, but I have a picture of the Home in Sherbourne St. John Hampshire that is said to be from 1823. Can anyone shed more light on this family??
thanks,
Gord

I am so very confused.
Trying to locate, the right Wickens Family Lineage.
Everytime, I think I have it. I find a kink.
Such as, I found records for a William and Sarah Wickens that included baptisms in Paulerspury for 8 Children. Possibly one set of twins.
Sarah and Elizabeth, daughters of William and Sarah July 14, 1705
Judith, daughter of William and Sarah May 11, 1707
Ann, daughter of William and Sarah June 25, 1710
John, son of William and Sarah July 26, 1713
Mary, daughter of William and Sarah Sept 2d or 20, 1716
James, son of William and Sarah Feb 20, 1718
William, son of William and Sarah Sept 13, 1722
I found marriage record for William Wickens and Sarah Gibbins for October 2nd 1704; which would correspond with all those births.
A William born in 1722, Married to a Sarah (no last name) has been connected to my family as the father of Joel born 1785 died 1848.
Joel is married to a Dinah Wickens (Barlow) as the parents of many children Joel 1806-1895, William 1808-?, Mark 1811-1903, Stephen Wickens 1812-1883, Sarah 1814-? Elisa 1816-1904, Jane 1819-? Elizabeth 1821-1914, Thomas 1823-1919, Richard 1826-1907, Mary 1829-?, **** Harriet 1841-1914 and James 1847-?*****both born to Rosalie.
Stephen Wickens 1812-1883 married Rebecca Wickens (Cooke, Cook) were the parents of so many George 1842, James 1844, Dinah 1846-1881, Thomas 1847-1887, Jane (Jennie) 1850-1927, Elizabeth 1852-?, William R. 1855-1913, Mary 1857-1900, and Rebecca 1859-1936.
William R. married Elizabeth Wickens (Weisbecker) 1862-1943. They in turn only 5 kids. :) As my Aunt says, We are decreasing the population, at this point. Giggles. Clarence 1885-?, Thirza 1887-1963, Chester 1889-1948, Clement F. 1894-1948, Marguerite Rebecca 1895-1985.
Clement F. married Agnes Wickens (Merritt) 1894-1973. They had William Julius Wickens 1921-1986 and Benjamin Wickens 1923-1965.
Benjamin married Kathryn Wickens (Richardson) 1922-1953
they had Thomas died young, Girl baby, J D. Wickens 1940's- present and C Wickens 1940's -present.

No, I have not.
I shall.
I did find a William Wickens and Sarah Gibbins, that had been married back in 1704.
They had a large amount of Children. I have been doing some research there, to see if I can get a link. They did have a William born in 1722, which was linked to another William born around 1752.
The William born in 1752, I have been able to trace to the rest of the family.
My link is Joel and Dinah Wickens (Barlow).
I am going to stay with William and Sarah (Gibbins) to see if I can get a solid link to my link.
Thank you. Christina Edwards (Wickens)
