My grandmother, Margaret Doyle, was born in Ballypierce, near kildavin, her father was peter doyle from kildavin and his wife mary redmond of clonegal.
Margaret was one of ten children born between 1863-1882 all in ballypierce. Doe's this ring any bells with you? Then i'd love to hear from you.
All the best

I know my grandmother Anne Irwin had cousins John and Betty Doyle. she was born in Carlow around 1881, daughter of John and Mary Irwin, but I have no other info for the moment.

hi
thanks for your reply. Doyle is a very common name in county carlow, in the 1911 census for ireland there were nearly 1600 of them, in fact there were 15 john doyles that match you grandmothers cousin in laws age criteria too. if you knew a little more info, like the parish he was from, it would be a little more help.
but once again, thank you for the reply.
all the best

Hi Gary
Yes, my Grandmother was from Ballypierce, and her Grandfather was from Kildavin, lots of connections to Clonegal too. Sorry about the delay getting back to you, but maybe we can pick up from there.
