Title: Economic printer with Puppy Linux
Post by: alftabor on Tuesday 20 October 09 21:40 BST (UK)
Hello
I am using puppy linux 4.2 and i am searching for a compatible printer at a reasonable price e.g. below 90AUD
In the hope that a rootschatter may be using such a printer I would appreciate some guidance
I have a HP Deskjet F2235 but seem unable to discover a suitable Driver for same, so I now am going to purchase another printer but need to know if it is compatible
Regards Alf

I suggest you join this forum and see if they can help you get your current printer working.

If they do then you will not need to get another printer.

The likelihood is that there may not be an exact driver for your model but s driver for another model may work.

There is a universal printer software for Linux known as CUPS. It is well supported and contains the necessary drivers for most common printers.

A google reveals that HP themselves have a Linux driver;
