Title: Rees in Llanguicke
Post by: Cheeky Girl on Saturday 17 October 09 22:41 BST (UK)
Hi

I have tried to trace the male line of Rees in LLanguicke. Daniel Rees B 1795 in Bettws, wife Margaret b LLanguicke 1811. Their son is Daniel, b abt 1841 in Brichfa, wife Ann b 1838 in Cayo. Their son is William b 1865, wife Margaret b Llandilo  abt 1865.

I guess that some of this may well be inaccurate but new to this and my best attempt. Any info to develop this would help.

I may have posted this on the incorrect geographical board, so apologies
Sue

Hiya

You are right. I got a bit excited at finding all these relatives. I seem to have posted this is the wrong place so the moderator has moved it over.

Osprey has been really helpful and pointed out a few minor flaws in my logic. Nothing major just that I have matched up the wrong father and son, umm!!!
I will go back to the drawing board and proceed more carefully and gather the evidence properly. I am amazed how helpful you guys are with my basic questions.
Thnx
Sue

Have you bought the relevant certs yet to confirm findings?

 ;)

Hi

Sorry I do not know the maiden name of Margaret and have not bought the certs. As Osprey said I may well have mixed up the families. Rees is a popular name.  I have now visited the church, took a bit of finding.  So pleased that it has been bought and not allowed to fall apart.

I will get a bit more organised in 2010, I hope and thank you for your interest. I have a number of Ancestry hints to look at as well. I think that my Ancestry tree is now public under the name of Cole. Feel free to visit

Sue

As soon as you have any spare cash, get those certs. There's no point putting time & effort into an online tree if you don't have documents to back it up.
