Hi There
A work colleague is searching for her great grandfather George DODSON but only has a death cert. Birth is shown as 31/10/1880 and apparently the family always lived in Salford.
Can anyone see any census records that fit the bill?
Thanks in advance

Hi
I know I haven't given you guys much but it's all I've been given. My friend thinks she might have the marriage cert somewhere if so I'll be able to confirm your good work.
Anyone able to see a Salford address in 1881?
Cheers folks

Hi Doggy, There is a tree on Ancestry showing the George Dodson listed in this thread. It states his parents were Thomas Dodson & Mary Kilgour married 1880. George Dodson married Margaret Derbyshire in 1907 in Salford, they list children as 2 living Dodsons and Thomas, George, William & Margaret who all died in the 1990's except William who died in 1915 age 1.
If this is the correct family some of the names should ring a bell with your colleague.
Hope this helps.
Coincidentally I too am researching Dodsons, but none of mine are from Salford. Mine are in Wolverhampton, going back to Liverpool, then further back to Heysham.

Hi Jool
What a star you are for spotting this. I'll pass the info on as it looks very positive from what she has previously told me.
