Hoping someone can give me a little bit of info on this one.... ;)
21st November 1796 at St Peter's Torksey
William Bellamy marries a Sarah Proudley (who is the widow to a Thomas)
I believe that /sarah and Thomas Proudley have two girls
1. Ann, marries a James Brumby, found only one daughter a Sarah who marries a William Mitchell
2. Sarah Proudley - born 1782 Torksey
Question is: What was Sarah's birth name before she married Thomas Proudley???
And can anyone give me a little background on these families
On one of the census relating to my Bellamy Family - i have a James and Ann Mitchell (brother and Sister) living with cousin John Bellamy
But i don't know anything about them.
Thanks for your time
Betton x.
:) :) :)

Hi Louthlass.I will have to attach some photo's seperatly it's saying they are to large,My grandads father was James Brumby & Fanny Doncaster and they married in Fledborough in 1853 and in 1857 his father Thomas emigrated to America with his other 7 children a year after Thomas's eldest married daughter Mary & Joseph King had left.I think James & Fanny did'nt go at the time because they had 3 of thier 11 children by then.I have Herbert & Florence on my tree along with sister Dorothy J & Ronald but i have no other info etc.Joseph Cutis Brumby who went to America was in Ohio where Thomas settled ,He was killed in a railroad accident in 1936 and was married to Amelia Halbaulb.Regards Franklin B

Hello Franklin B,
Those photographs are wonderful, thank-you.
You mention Dorothy, sister to Florence and Ronald, no sister. There is a Dorothy nee Atkinson married Percy, Joseph and Ernest's brother. you also mention Amelia Halbaub she married James DETE, they had a daughter Aleise born in Wooster Ohio, I am in contact with Aleise's daughter Susan, who still lives in Ohio.
Ronald had a son David who lives with his family in St Albans Hertfordshire.
Percy and Dorothy had a son James still living in our village.
Many thanks Louthlass

Hi Louthlass.Im in touch with several descendants of Thomas Brumby who are in America and thats were the little info i have about Amelia & the accident of Joseph came from,They also sent me a register outlining a family tree of all thomas's descendants in America which goes up to the 1960s.A bit stuck at the moment with the Brumby's back to a John & Ann Brumby [abt 1720s] a choice of which John ? and not gone to far past the WW1 generation,I found a Dorothy 1919 with mother Pykett on the births index.I only get to the lincoln archives couple of times a year but i will ask a friend of mine to check she visits most weeks, I moved from Grantham some years ago to near Derby so its a bit of a journey but i do go to the Nottingham archives so if you need anything looking up there let me know.Regards Franklin B.ps send you some photo's of Joseph's Br & Si

Hello FranklinB,
What a wonderful collection of photograph, thank-you for sharing them with me.
Well I certainly didn't know about Dorothy 1919. I have checked the baptismal register for Beckingham, theres nothing in there, Florence and Ronald both christened at All Saints.
I am visiting Notts archives on Friday,a group visit and tour, dont think I will have time for research, one never no's thou!
I have recently been in touch with Susan in America. Are the photos from her?

Hi folks. I've just started researching my family tree and my father was a Brumby from Lincs. His father was George Albert Brumby who married Eva Manton. George's parents were John and Alice nee Ingall.
Does anyone have any photographs of this side of the Brumby family this far down? or any information, are related to me? I'd love to hear from you.
Franklin B are you still around? you seem to have a fantastic knowledge of the Brumby family. I'd love to know more :)
