Hi can anyone one help
My g g grandfather Antonio Rossini married Isabella Bishop on
25th june 1843 he died in 1865 I seem to have come to a dead end I would like to know IF he was the first of his family to come from Italy or maybe his father. Also on 1851 census there is a Martha Rossini aged 51 and Philip Rossini aged 18 Im pretty sure this is Antonios brother but Id like to know who Martha is it could be his mother but if so whos his father it so frustrating so if anybody could help Iwould be very grateful and very pleased Izzy

Izzy,
Antonio's death cert should be available on Scotlands People site if he died in 1865. This would give you his parents names.
Cheers,
Cammy

I don’t think so Izzy. I believe the first of the Rossini family came to Scotland a long time before that period. I haven’t been able to determine it all exactly myself but they were already in Scotland by the 1800s

Have you found them on the 1841 census?
-
1841 census has him with a possible father named Philip, born in Scotland c1796
-
His death is registered with mother's surname given as Abercromby

This looks like the marriage of his parents in OPR's and RC records
