Could some one please help with the name of Thomas Boyle's mothers
surname on this death registration, ??? ???
-
It looks like something like Owenson / Owensen, or A....sen or A....son. I can't really make it out.
-
Kattzy - it IS hard to read. You should contact Scotland's People and request a clearer image. They're very good about this kind of thing.

thanx very much for trying went to registrars office in my hometown they couldnt make it out either

Hi Kattzy
This is the link for SP re illegible image www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/content/contactus/form.aspx?issue=24
They are very good on responding to this type of issue, normally 24-48 hours. If you explain where you are having a problem, they will send you an enhanced section of the image which in most cases can make a big difference.

Anderson !

Thanks everyone for trying was thinking it was Annison but not sure. :'( :'(

As well as requesting a clearer image from SP, you could purchase Thomas Boyle's birth certificate to see what his mother's maiden name is.
-
I think, looking at the births of Thomas Boyle and wife Julia's children on IGI, he might have been Irish born pre the start of official reg. in Ireland which makes it tricky unfortunately!

Did a look up on the marriage but it didn't give the mothers name
Thomas was born and married in Co Louth in Ireland, thank you all once again
-
Comparing letters I think it begins with an O not an A - it is more like first letter of Oedema in death above than any of the A's.
Orrason?

Yes was thinking that myself, then had another look and started to think it was began with P as the entry below Thomas death is Patrick Higgins and it looks the same as the P, so was thinking the name might be Pearson
-
Had another look Kattzy but still think it is more like an O. It is very difficult.
