Hi flametree5
Welcome to Rootschat ;D
I was going to ask, where they were in the UK Census post 1873 (per IGI they had a son James born in Govan 1874 who may have died before 1876) - but I see they went to Australia, arriving on the "Star of India" in 1876:
Passenger list:
James CRAIG 23, Blacksmith from Lanarkshire, son of James & Christine, Presbyterian
Cecelia CRAIG 20, from Lanarkshire, dau of Charles & Janet
Charles CRAIG 1, (who died in Port Jackson - apparently at or soon after arrival?)
Found that here - a cousin? on Rootschat is rsearching the same line ;D :-

That topic identified James:
In Govan in 1871 - a 19 year old blacksmith listed as brother in law to Thomas Muir (wife Mary). James and Mary list births in Partick.
And I think the following is his family:
1871: 3 Graham Street, Partick, Govan, Lanarkshire
Parish 646/3, ED 9, pg 22, HS 138
Head: Thomas MUIR 30, Iron Ship Builder, b Glasgow
Wife: Mary MUIR 25, b Partick
Dau: May (or Mary?) MUIR, 5, b England
Brother-In-Law: James CRAIG 20, Blacksmith, b Partick
1861:155 Dumbarton Rd, Partick, Govan, Lanarkshire
Parish 646/2, ED 23, pg 35, HS 207
Head: James CRAIG 46, Spout?? Merchant? b Greenock, Renfrewshire
Wife: Mary CRAIG 45,b Inchman, Renfrewshire
Son: William CRAIG 21, Ship Carpenter, b Kelmhaugh, Lanarkshire
Son: John CRAIG 17, Ship Smith?? (App), b Partick
Dau: Mary CRAIG 15, b Partick
Son: James CRAIG 9, Scholar, b Partick
Dau: Jessie CRAIG 7, Scholar, b Partick
Niece: Mary BUCHMAN 21, Domestic Servant, b Partick
1851: Castlewalk St Mathews, Partick, Govan, Lanarkshire
Parish 646, ED 9d, Pg 34, HS 117
Head: Christina CRAIG 33, b Glasgow
Dau: Isabella CRAIG 12, Scholar, b Greenock, Renfrew
Son: William CRAIG 10, Scholar, b Partick
Son: John CRAIG 7, Scholar, b Partick
Dau: Mary CRAIG 5, Scholar, b Partick
Charles KERR 25, Ship Carpenter, Journeyman, b Glasgow
1841: Partick Old Bridge End, Barony, Glasgow, Lanarkshire
Parish 622, ED 4, Folio 178, pg 13
James CRAIG 26, Ship Carpenter J, - N
Christina CRAIG 25, - N
Isabella CRAIG 3 - N
William CRAIG 1 - Y
John (CRAIG?? YUILLE??) 1 - Y
Ann YUILLE 10 - N
The 1841 can be found on FreeCen - apparently John age 1, his surname is not clear - it may be bracketed with YUILLE.

IGI: MARRIAGE: James CRAIG and Christina MILLAR 21 Sep 1835, Govan, Lanarkshire
This looks like Christina MILLAR died between 1851 and 1861, and James remarried by 1861.
Cheers

Thankyou so much for that - that's a great start (excuse my typo in my post - I meant "Christina" not Cecilia Millar.)
