Dunno if this will assist anyone, but I have a complete list of passengers on this trip. Departed London, 4 Oct 1873.

Hi I would be interested in this - had relatives that arrived in OZ about that time but have been unablt to trace. In addition there have been some name changes so am not entirely sure who I would be looking for.

Dunno if I should post link here, but if you search for Queensland immigration indexes, and follow the Indexes - Immigration link, you can see lists for the years 1848-1912. So you might be able to find what your are looking for.
As to the list I have, I'm happy to have a look for you, but there were over 500 passengers on that trip, so any idea of a name you have would be a start.
I think the AU$12.50 I spent to get a copy of the list I wanted was money well spent, as you get the whole list.

Hi cowlady - I'll do that - just need to lay my hands on it - seems I've "tidied up" and put the list in a "safe" place - It's in my house somewhere ... stay tuned ;D

tidying up sounds very familiar, thanks for your trouble, cowlady

If you can still help?
Can you look for Jackson family Joseph and Eleanor children Sarah, john, Eleanor, Elizabeth.
Also another Jackson family on same voyage, would also be interested in them.
Thanks in advance

Don, a lot more records have been put online since this thread was started in 2009:
http://www.archives.qld.gov.au/Researchers/Indexes/Immigration/Pages/Default.aspx
I am not sure how complete these records are at present (they used to be a work in progress so some records were only available at the Archives), but it could be worth you checking for your great grandfther.
If you can't find him, maybe you could start a new thread with a request for help. A specific request might get more attention than tagging on the end of this thread. :)
The OP hasn't been online for 8 months.
Good luck
