:) I would like to know if anyone is related to my late grandmother Elsa Milton Owens born in Musselburgh who married my late English grandfather William Horace Bell in England. Do I add the names of both these relatives?

Thanks very much Hibee. My Mum told me that Grandma was called Elsie but a long lost relative (not on my Grandmother's side) recently found me and referred to her as Elsa. Shrewsbury1959. :)

Hi,
Sometimes Elsie can be known as peggy as in Margaret and Elsa can be a derivative of Elisabeth. So much choice. Someone we know who nearly became a member of my husbands family is what I would term as a Language Historian, initially it seems a dull subject, but when you look at the origins of our language and its derivatives, becomes fascinating in much the same way as family history.
Good Luck with your research

Elsie Milton Owens and Wilfred Horace Bell were my Grandparents, Wilfred was also known as Bill, was born in 1912. They married in 1933 in Cornwall

Wilfred Horace Bell, or Bill, was my father and married my mother in London in 1961. He died in May 1992 in St Ives, Cornwall. I believe this was his 4th (and last!) marriage.
