Could someone please look for Matilda Cooper in the 1871, 1861, 1851 Staffordshire census. In 1881 she is boarding with Thomas and Sylvia Walters at 35 Mill St Kingswinford Stafford. Her age is 74 in 1881 and she is born in Asslbrough Warwick.

Thanks for that. Does it name the 20 lodgers in 1851 or the 10 lodgers in 1861? If so could you list them for me if it's not too much trouble. I can't work out how Matilda Cooper fits into my genealogy if she does at all.

Thanks so much for that. I will have a good look through the names but I think you are right they must have run a boarding house. I am clutching at straws as I have can't find a Hannah and Edward Jones after they marry in 1863 and I thought that Matilda Cooper may be a mother in law if Hannah remarried. Not looking like it though!! Annette

Hello
Post the details of Edward and Hannah and we will have a look for you.

Thanks!!
Hannah Mees/Meese born 1845 Netherton Dudley to parents Henry and Sylvia Mees.
Edward Jones born 1842 Brierley Hill to parents Edward and Louisa Jones.
Edward Jones and Hannah Meese married 9th August 1863 at St Mark's Pensnett.

Hello
Edward and Hannah are hard to find.
Any children?
Regards Pam
-
Not that I know of. I think Hannah may have been pregnant when they married as she is only 17 and they married outside their parish. Only a guess though.
-
I'm fairly confident they immigrated to the US in 1868 and are buried in Illinois.

I think you have found them! Thank you for searching for them. I will now puck this line back up as I had given up on ever finding them.
