In fact, I think it says Cotton Broker Agent in the occupation column..

Hi Amanda. I am Bruce Thyer in the USA.  My grandfather was Henry G. Thyer, who survived the Eastland ship disaster in Chicago.  May I ask your interest in the Thyer family?  We came from Manchester, about 1874 or so I believe.
