Hi,
I'm researching my family tree & trying to find any Bovenizers who might be related to me.
My gran's maiden name was McDonald.1913-2009. Her mum was Annie Bovenizer & she was married to James McDonald. They lived at Cardiff Cottage in Finglas when my gran was born. I've looked at the 1911 census but can't find them on it. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

found this possible match on the familysearch civil index (http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#c=1408347;p=2;t=searchable) for the marriage of Annie :
Name: Anne Bovenizer
Registration district: Dublin North
quarter and year: Oct - Dec 1906
volume: 2 / Page: 487
I dont see any good matches for Annie and James in the Finglas area on the census.. did they have any other children before 1911 ? do you know the occupation of James ?
I located Cardiff Cottage, Finglas village in Thom's directories of 1894 and 1914 and it seem to be occupied in 1894 by H.P.Healy esq, and by a family named Rogan in 1914. I believe this is the census entry for them : http://census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/Finglas/Finglas_West/7151/
see related Bovenizer/McDonald topic here (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,402973.0.html)

There were a lot of Bovenizers in Rathkeale, Limerick. From memory the man that runs the Palatine Association there is a Bovenizer

There was a big Palatine Colony there. One of my ancestors was a Pfiffer, which became Piper over the years.
You could contact them
