Hi I'm looking for some information on an
Ellen Callaghan born 1836 and her husband Michael Creagh (Doneraile) married 1856 approx
They had 8 children 7 of whom were alive in 1911 census
I have identified three
Richard (1864)
John (1870)
William (1872)
Richard Creagh, born in Doneraile 1864 married Louisa (Lucy) Higgins born Co Cork 1874 possibly Doneraile, married 1894/95
They left Doneraile Cork and moved to Dublin sometime before 1896.
They had 5 children one of whom died young, the surviving children were:
Michael 1896
Jack 1900
Dick (Richard) 1902
Lucy 1905
Any help or information gratefully received

Looks like Richard Creagh and Lucy Higgins were married Jan-Mar 1895 in Dublin North
The details are
Volume 2 Page 537
Registration District Dublin North
Family Search Pilot Site (http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#start)
You can order marriage certificate from http://www.groireland.ie/
Important to include volume number, page number and registration district and if you order a photocopy will only cost 4 euro and you may get original signature of Richard and Lucy which is a nice addition depends if they could read and write.
If you sign up to this website
http://corknortheast.brsgenealogy.com/index.php?&set=yes
You can view the marriage of Michael Creagh and Ellen Callaghan in 1856 in Doneraile parish the cost would be 5 euro per record and you can pay via laser or credit card.
Also on www.familysearch.org i found
Richard Joseph Creagh born 5th May 1867 son of Michael Creagh and Ellen Callaghan
William Creagh born 27 Apr 1873 son of Michael Creagh and Ellen Callaghan
Ellen Creagh born 23 Feb 1876 daughter of Michael Creagh and Ellen Callaghan
Mary Elizabeth Creagh born 16 Oct 1864 daughter of Michael Creagh and Ellen Callaghan
All this was in Mallow Registration District Cork which covers Doneraile area.
I have found the death of a Richard Creagh in Oct-Dec 1916 Mallow Registration District aged 50.
Now the only Richard born around that time (1866-1867) is your Richard. And only Richard in the Census that fits is your Richard so maybe he returned and died in Cork in 1916.
