Has anyone previously been researching the Godfrey Family from Colchester ?
Frederick Godfrey was born about 1854 and married Emily {Bacon or Blackshaw]
I'm trying to find their parents or siblings.
any help or advice appreciated.

If the previous census I sent was the correct family then here they are on 1861, ages differ slightly

1861 BARRACK ST RG9/1097 FOLIO 68 PAGE 17
William 51 Gardener
Eliza  48
Sophia 21 tailoress
George 19 gardener
Emma 17 tailoress
Henry 13 scholar
FREDERICK 7scholar
Ellen 6 scholar
Sarah 4
all born Colchester

The only way to be sure this is the family is to purchase the marriage cert of Frederick married  1880 Colchester, it would confirm his father's name

Louisa Maud

you know doubt notice the names of streets, Colchester is a garrison town

Hi again
I don't live in Colchester, we took our granddaughter to Colchester castle
I couldn't make out what "japponer "was for Frederick's occupation
Are you asking for help to find Rosetta, if so if you put it on here someone may help you, even me if I am on the computer as it arrives

Regards

Looks as if Merrett family is living in Brentford area as at 1911, minus Jessie, who may be Jessie Victoria, she may be Jessie in Wandsworth as at 1911.
