Can anyone advise me as to where I can find records of my husbands uncle, Russell Beadle, who joined the RAMC in India in 1941. He apparently served on the Burma front and in the Madras area. He was born in India, and lived in the Bombay area. Thanks!

To get service records for WW2 personnel one has to be Next of Kin. If you are then you can apply at the following link:
http://www.veterans-uk.info/service_records/army.html
Fill out as much information on the form as possible, and request photocopies of the original file.

Thanks Kyt. Unfortunately I'm not next of kin.... is there any other way of finding out information? thanks.

Unfortunately, with units like the RAMC, RE etc it is very difficult to find out what, where and when a member served because they were dispersed amongst other units.
If the indivdual was an officer then one could have a look at the London Gazette but that would only confirm Corps, and promotion dates.
If you can ascertain the NoK, you could get them to give you permission to apply for the records.
