I am interested in working out the descent of Marmaduke Nelson (c1648-1714) who was Mayor of Beverley in 1714. He married Elizabeth Long (of Barton in Humber - ref: The social history and antiquities of Barton-on-Humber, by H W Bell, 1856). His children were (at least) William, Marmaduke, Charles, Robert & Helen.
Unfortunately the IGI extract only start in 1718 for St Mary, and 1713 for St John.
I would be grateful if you could look for any likely Nelson entries (Bapt, Mar or Bur)
