Janis , re Penshaw church searches,

Could you find  the marriage of  Isabella Kennedy to Joseph Cook  1793 at All Saints  church.  Isabella was born about 1772 and Joseph about1770.
I am told they both came from Shiney Row co Durham.

my index of baptisms has neither Isabella Kennedy or Joseph Cook.

When and where do you have children baptised?  There are Cook baptisms in the early 1800's to a Joseph and Isabella but the Joseph was from Newburn, NBL and Isabella was Isabella Crosby of Ancroft NBL

What you need to find is a child born between 1798-1812 to this couple.  The only other I can find in Penshaw is Elizabeth baptised 17 Apr 1814.  If they were married in 1793 surely there was a child somewhere between 1793 and 1814.  There are none in Penshaw that I can find

I also cannot find the marriage you cite.  Where was it?  What is the date besides 1793?  I have the parish record with banns.
