Title: Timothy Horsman
Post by: jb72 on Friday 11 September 09 17:59 BST (UK)
Timothy would have been born circa 1750.

He was married (twice) in London (Surrey then), had all his children there and died in Camberwell Workhouse.  Having looked for his baptism in London/ Surrey for a years I recently paid London Metropolitan Archives to undertake a search of baptismal records of all the places I know he lived.  This drew a painful blank.

As such I am left to conclude that he must have moved to London/ Surrey from the area the vast majority of Horsmans (sometimes written Horseman) come from ie North Yorkshire.

Timothy was inconsiderate enough to die just a few weeks before the 1841 Census so would anyone know where I should start to looking for N Yorkshire records which might contain a clue?

Many thanks.
Joe
