Hi, Is there anyone who lives in Scranton P.A. I am looking for burials of a Reilly family. The family lived on Wright's. They were R.C. & wondered if there would be certain local cemeteries where they may have been laid to rest. Appreciate any idea's on the subject. Beavis

It would be helpful if you put down a likely date range.
Do you have any census, or other data? When you say "Wrights" is this a street name? Do you have any first names?

Have you tried www.findagrave.com ? There are 4 Reilly's that have been entered for Lackawanna Co., PA

Thank you for responding. Sorry, I was tired when I posted the message! I am looking for the last resting places of Patrick Joseph Reilly & his spouse Mary Reilly nee Laughlin. Patrick Reilly was born in 1866 in Scotland. His spouse Mary Reilly was born in 1864 also in Scotland. They are both still going strong in 1930 (American census) In 1930 Patrick's age is recorded as 65 year's, Mary 66. They are living in Scranton City Ward 12. Block No. 80 in what looks like Hertz Ct. The rest would be supposition as to when they died. When you think they have lived over half their lifespan it does help a little. I did check Ancestry.com & came up with nothing. That's why I am searching for cemeteries close by. Thank you again, hopefully you may have an idea or two. Regards. Beavis

Hi Beavis: There is a searchable cemeteries list for Scranton on the Lackawanna County page of the Pennsylvania page of the USGenweb Prjoect.
Go here for the cemeteries:
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~palackaw/cemeteries/index.html
Lots of Catholic Cemeteries under "St." The addresses of many of the cemeteries are included.
At the bottom of that page, you canclick back to the entire Lackawanna County resources page.
Regards,
John

Hi John, Thanks for the link. I had a quick look , thus far I have not found any Reilly's that I am searching for; but as any researcher, I am persistant! Good luck with your searches. Beavis
