Can anyone help me find the following people in the 1841 - 1861 censuses.
Louisia (Louisa?) about 1790 - 98, probably listed as head of household in the 1841 census.
Children:
Thomas, 1818
Mary, 1820
John, 1822
Sarah, 1824
Samuel, 1826
Jane1828
Charles, 1832
The name Louisia is how I have it from an extract of the Finchingfield parish records. Whether or not it is a mistranscription or not I don't know but I don't believe it was mistranscribed 6 times, once is is Louisie. All of the children were baptised in Finchingfield.
According to the Parish Record information that I received I suspect that Mary died in infancy.
I would imagine at the time of the 1841 census it is possible that Thomas may not be living with his mother and his siblings.
I know for sure that at the time of the 1861 census that Samuel was married and living in Maldon with his wife and child.
Thank you in advance for any information that you can find.

Hi Harcus,
I do not have the 1841 or the 1851 census. Except for the Staine's that I sent you before I cannot add much more without further information.
I am sure that one of the other Rootschatters will be very willing to try and lookup the other censuses for you.
Regards,
Frances :)

Alan,
Thank you very much for that inforemation.
Obviously Sa(i)nes could be a mis-transcription for Sta(i)nes but I find it hard to believe that someone could mispronounce their name so badly that the census takes would miss the T.
But who knows? ???
Thanks once again for your time and effort.
Regards.
