hi can anyone help me i'm trying to get the birth certificate of my late mother in law. she was born june grogan or june margaret grogan on 4 march 1918 i think in drimnah dublin, fathers name james grogan, i know she had 2 brothers patrick and jack and sister i think moira or maura known as molly. i think they were all older than june. june came to live in england and married here in 1940. i would love to be able to order her birth certificate, any help or info would be very much appreciated. thanks jean

For any BMD certificate since 1864, you can apply to the General Register Office.

This is what they have to say:

You can apply in writing, by fax or in person giving as many details of the birth, death or marriage as you can, i.e. full names, date and location of event, parent's names and occupations, mother's maiden names etc. Obviously the more information you can give us the more chance we have of finding the records you are looking for. Our index and records are date based and are in a manual format so we will need accurate dates (correct year at least).

hi ronnieg i have tried everything i can think of i wrote to roscommon, but they couldn't find anything for me. all i know is her name was june grogan could be june margaret, bur on her wedding certificate it just gives her name as june, father james grogan, and i know she was born 4 march 1918. i dont know where else to try. thanks for replying. jean
