And thats how the move progressed following Aaron with his stories of how grass was better on the other side of the hill, or to get away from Dad?
Thanks again

It's possible that Mary and the other 2 children were just on a visit to Aaron in Wales while Dad stayed at home. Can't assume they were living with Aaron, just that they were there on census night :)
George senior has died by 1861 and Mary is back in Somerset with grandson Aron:
1861 RG 9 Piece 1665 Folio 81 Page 26
Westbury, Somersetshire
Mary STOCK head widow 65 Pauper Weare Somerset
Aron " grandson 8 Westbury "
Have you traced the others in 1861?

Revisiting this....Some of these Stocks made their way to Onandoga County, New York and then a few more to Michigan. They seemed to have had cousins in Shipham and many of both groups emigrated between 1850 and 1890, settling together in NY.
I am seeking direct male descendants of this Westbury group for DNA comparison. I am a direct descendant of the Shipham group and have a 46 marker yDNA test on Ancestry.

Hello there. I'm wondering if these stocks are related to me.
Please see my first post for information of my ggg-grandfather Samuel Stock.
