My Great, Great, Great Grandfather is Henry TREVELA born about 1781 in Cornwall.
He married Jane GRENFEL in 1803 in St. Just, Cornwall. I cannot find out anything about
is birth, parents, or anything prior to his marriage to Jane.
His surname although is given as TREVELA in the marriage details, it is a mis-spelling of our family name TREWHELLA, which gets many variations thus complicating matters. Our family seem to stay concentrated around the penzance area mostly so I would think Henry would be born here also.
I hope someone has some information about him because I have lots of info from him onwards but my tree comes to a grinding halt at Henry.
Many thanks in anticipation.

Many thanks for that info. It looks like it's the Henry and Jane I mentioned (the ages are right).
Don't know if it will help getting further with Henry though :(

Yes I have been on that forum and am in touch with someone there. Still no joy.

The Mark? Trewhela referred to as being on the same page of the 1841 Census at Jamaica Place with Henry and Jane Trewhela is, in fact, Martin Grenfell Trewhela who was a son of Henry and Jane.
On the same page and between these two households you will find the family of Peter and Charlotte Galloway whose daughter Mary later married Thomas Henry Trewhela, grandson of Henry and jane.
