:D Well yes Aussie Bob, I'd also found that link earlier. But it does seem to be rather more concerned with the OWENS surname ??
Worser :
You'll see in one of the PapersPast articles, that Beatrice (the former wife of Jacob A.C. KNOWLES), took up with a "Robert Blayney OWENS". There doesn't appear to have been a formal marriage between these two (no listing found on the NZ Marriage index - no Divorce record found for KNOWLES).
There is a NZ death index listing for "1958 - Beatrice Ellen OWENS - 66 years" who seems most likely to be the same person as Beatrice Ellen Watson MORRIS born (NZ) in 1892.

Thank You Aussie Bob and Lucy2.
I have found a number of references to Jack Knowles in Papers Past site.
I can now match up the information I suspected regarding Robert Blayney OWENS and Beatrice Knowles.
Was this company a local based company or did they tour in the 1900's?

The company was actually founded in New Zealand by Englishman, John FULLER (1850 - 1923). As well as touring here they also later moved into Australia.
A Google search will give you lots of information about Fullers. :)
The "Dictionary of New Zealand Biography" (online) entry for John FULLER is a good place to start.
