Hi Can anyone help.I am looking for a George Buckley, Harbledown jeweller (1791-1845) He had a wife Sarah and six daughters. Supposedly his father had numerous properties built in Canterbury and Harbledown c. 1800's. Georges will mentions his aunt Elizabeth Foreman of Monks Horton (in 1844) and her three daughters.
Anyone know where I may be able to find info on his marriage and parents (IGI drawn a blank).

The Marriage Licence says that George was a silversmith from the parish of St Andrew, and that the marriage was to take place at St Mary Magdalene. They were both aged 25. No parents or bondsmen mentioned.

St Margaret, Canterbury

John BUCKLEY

Again the Marriage Licence for the above couple states that John was a watchmaker, bachelor aged 24 of St Mary Magdalene. Sarah was a spinster aged 24 of St Margaret.

It seems we are on the right track :)
This Baptism fits in with John's age at marriage:
St Alphage, 1760 9th March
John BUCKLEY
Parents Thomas & Winefred
Two baptisms for a Sarah COURT in Canterbury, but in 1757 & 1767, so neither matches her age at marriage, unless she lied ;D
