Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if Russell st, Bingley still exists. My Wifes g grandfather lived at number 15 in 1881. I suppose it's long gone now but was just wandering what the houses were like. IE back to back or were they more grand and are still standing to this day.
Regards

Hi D.D
No Russell Street, Bingley on my A-Z.
There is a series of circa 1900 O/S map reprints, a good stationary shop should be able to order the right one for you or you might be able to order on line.
The reference is Yorkshire sheet 201.06 Bingley, published by

Thanks for that Dave.
We shall give it a go.
It's for my Wife's side she has got the bug since i started doing it. Her Sister did a tree but only had the names of descendants the Wife wants to know Where they lived, housing working conditions etc.
Regards.

Long gone I'm afraid. I live in Bingley now and my father used to live on Russell Street way before I was born and I'm 42.
Houses would have been back-to-backs

These are the odd-numbered houses on Russell Street.

Thanks for your time Graham. Great photo too. I have to laugh at the no parking sign outside. Seems even years ago people had problems ;D

No problem - I still live in Bingley so if there's anything else you'd like :-D
