Hi wondering if anyone can have a look up for a marrage that took place at Bury St Edmunds 1924.. March I believe.
Elijah Rutterford and Mildred Knights
I would like any details on Mildred if there are any, Parish, Age, Parents...
Many thanks in advance

All the information you require will be on the marriage certificate which you can purchase from the GRO for £7.
You can locate the marriage here:

and follow the links.

When she married according to Bmd she had a middle initial of E
the only birth of a Mildred E Knights was in Mar Qtr in Depwade Norfolk in 1903
on the 1911 Census there is a Mildred Knights living in Depwade with a Florence and Phillip who could be her parents (same household) , Could be worth looking into.

thanks for that, that was helpful that has certainly shut the door, the mildred I am after, had a child in 1917, which make this mildred E, about 14, not impossible but I know that the mildred I am trying find was in Domestic service in 1917 in Yarmouth.
Many thanks I can discount this one.

Then as Ruskie says....You may have to invest in the Marriage certificate.
-
I am taking the gamble of putting this one in my list of discounted maybes.
thanks for the speedy replies. appreciated. back to another Mildred

Do you know the father's name of 'your' Mildred? If so you can use this as a check if you were to purchase the marriage certificate to ensure you buy the correct one. You pay a little extra for a check but it can be worth it in the long run.

sadly no. all I have is from my mother's b/c.
that her mother was Mildred Knights, in domestic service and living in the Row Houses in yarmouth. gave birth to my Mum in 1917 nothing else what so ever.
I have a quite strong inkling that the Mildred I need was born at Runham in Norfolk, around 1895. I just found still living at home in 1911. and nowt else at the moment, that is based on age and gut feeling. very sketchy I know

Maybe this one then..

thats the one. after giving birth to my Mum, she handed her over to her mother (my mother g/mother) to bring up, this was mostly in gaverstone near dereham.
my mother who passed away in 1990, said she never saw her mother at all and only knew her grandmother.
