I wonder if anyone can help me please.
I am trying to establish when my great great grandparents died. I have noted from the statutory deaths that my great grandfather, Charles Kemp died in 1919 at Strichen. His parents are given as Samuel Kemp - stoker at gas works - deceased and Christina Kemp - nee Murison - deceased
From a marriage cert, his parents are given as Samuel Kemp - Agricultural Labourer and Christina Murison - domestic servant. On this cert, Charle's usual residents reads something like "Sethesmill"? in Cruden.
I have tried to google Sethesmill in Cruden and found nothing. ???

Hi,can you tell me when Charles was born? Were his parents recorded as deceased on his marriage certificate & what date was this? Have you found any of them on censuses?Hopefully if Charles was found in the 1901 census at least,we'd get more info on his place of birth.Have you searched scotlandspeople for his parents deaths? With more info perhaps we can find his parents deaths.

Hi, thanks for your reply :)
I don't have an exact DOB for Charles for according to the marriage cert, he married on 3rd Dec 1881 at Tillymaud, Cruden. His age is stated as 32. His parents weren't recorded as deceased on that cert. In 1901, his birth place is recorded as Rathen. I've searched Scotalnds People and found nothing.
He died at the age of 66 in January 1919.
