Thanks Ricky,
Unfortunately the family I thought lived there must have moved out in 1881. Did 1871 census show a family by the name of Mccall?
Many thanks for all your help.

Hi Debbi
Have gone back to the 1881 for 22 Cemaes Street, as the pages are bit muddled and found that 22 is also on another page, but no McCalls at number 22
Plus the McCall family on the 1871 didnt have a Mary with them on the 1881 although they had been transcribed as McCaul ??? this time

Hello - would someone be kind enough to look on the 1871 and 1881 census and let me know what family members lived at No 5, Cemeas Street, Liverpool please. Including any pictures of the street. Would someone also know when Athol Street Gasworks was demolished and reason please? Many thanks.
-
It's Cemaes Street.
At number 5 in 1871 there is a Dogherty family with 3 boarders: Kimmane(?), Farrett and Carroll.
and in 1881 there are 3 families there: Kelly, McGuirk, and Burns
Which names are you interested in?

Hi Shaun - thanks for your reply. The surname is Farley. Edward Farley lived there around 1908, I believe.
-
There is a Farley family there in 1911 (by which time the spelling seems to have morphed to Cemeas !)
-
Thanks again Shaun. Could you kindly advise names of all who lived there and ages please (Farleys)? Looks like there were multiple residents sharing the house late 1800s.
-
I'm afraid Rootschat doesn't allow 1911 census lookups.

I think this is the family in 1901 at 14 Barmouth Street:
John Farley 60 Mariner Ireland
Ellen wife 50 Ireland
John A son 26 Mariner Liverpool,
Mary C daughter 24 Liverpool,
Sarah daughter 20 Liverpool
Wilesmenia daughter 18 Liverpool
Denis son 16 Liverpool
Edward son 14 Liverpool
Ellen daughter 10 Liverpool
+ 2 boarders

Oh wow, that’s brilliant - thank you so much Shaun. Sounds like a large house! Just starting on the path of looking into ancestry, so interesting. Have a lovely evening.
